Humpty's Fallbreaker is a fully compliant (*AS/NZ 4389) fall arrest option for builders. Cost effective and easy to install yourself, it is an alternative to traditional safety nets and safety mesh.
WHAT IS IT MADE OF ? The Fallbreaker is a high density polyethylene sheeting designed to meet the current safety needs in the New Zealand building industry. JUST HOW SAFE IS IT? The Fallbreaker is continually tested to ensure that we exceed both New Zealand and European standards regarding working from heights safely. Compliance details available here. WHERE DO I ORDER IT FROM? The Fallbreaker is available from your preferred building merchant. Simply provide your merchant with a floor plan so that a quote can be prepared to make your customised Fallbreaker. This can then be delivered to your site at the same time as your frames and installed prior to your trusses arriving. Alternatively, you can deal directly with us. Simply email sales@humptys.co.nz with a copy of your floor plan for a quotation. HOW DO I USE IT? The Fallbreaker is made to your floor plan and couriered to your site with the Manufacturer's Installation Instructions. The builder can then unfold it across the top plates, stretching it out and stapling around the perimeter. (When we make your Fallbreaker we allow for an additional 300mm overlap around the perimeter). Then, place your truss packers on top of the Fallbreaker double-nailing off at 300mm centres. Finally, you create a few drain holes for rainwater and use the sand bags we provide to assist. Full installation details here. Humpty's Fallbreaker is a very clean, fully recyclable product.
